Ulaanbaatar (hotel pickup and drop-off)
Pick up from the hotel in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to the Chinggis Khaan International Airport. Enjoy a scenic flight to Murun for approx. 1½ hours, the capital of Khuvsgul province. Our local guide and driver will meet you and take you to the pristine beauty lake Khuvsgul. Overnight in tourist camp. (L/D)
Stop and take in your serene surroundings with picnics by the lake or meals at the tourist camp. Hike to the sacred hills of Tsomo Khad and witness locals worship the area by offering symbolic blue silk cloths known as “khadag” and other gifts. Admire the beautiful landscape of crystal blue lake’s shorelines and lush forested hills. Overnight in the tourist camp. (B/L/D)
Take a peaceful stroll through the forest and absorb the natural beauty around you. During the summer months, the mountains are coated in bright, beautiful wildflowers as far as the eyes can see. Stop in the secluded grasslands and meet with the nomad family who lives in the countryside. Take this opportunity to befriend locals and learn about Mongolian culture. Overnight in the tourist camp. On your last day, cruise by boat through the crisp, cool water of Lake Khuvsgul and arrive at Khatgal soum. Your guide will assist your transfer to Murun airport for your flight back to Ulaanbaatar. (B/L)
