Travel western part of Mongolia, the Bayan-Ulgii and Khovd provinces, while experiencing world-famous annual Golden Eagle Festival, which takes place in Bayan-Ulgii province and hiking to mountains of Tsambagarav Mountain, the highest snow-capped peak of Khovd Province (4195m ASL). Itinerary

Day 1Ulaanbaatar - Ulgii

Fly to Ulgii city, the center of Bayan-Ulgii Province. Drive to Kazakh family and visit Eagle breeding neighbor. Learn how to sew by Kazakh woman, taste dairy products, ride horses and experience the life of nomads. Overnight stay with a local family (B/L/D)

Day 2Golden Eagle Festival (Day 1)

Golden Eagle Festival in Ulgii. Drive to Ulgii and attend Golden Eagle Festival with Eagle Hunting, Cultural Show, Songs and Dances and fun nomad games. Overnight stay in tourist camp (B/L/D)

Day 3Golden Eagle Festival (Day 2)

Second day of Golden Eagle Festival in Ulgii. Overnight stay in a local family (B/L/D)

Day 4Khovd province - Tsambagarav Mountain

Drive to Khovd, legendary capital of Khovd Province via Tsambagarav Mountain, the highest snow-capped peak of Khovd Province (4195m ASL) and hike in the mountains. Overnight stay in a tent. (B/L/D).

Day 5Khovd

Continue driving to Khovd city, the center of the province and visit a local museum, have a small tour to Sangiin Kherem Fortress Wall. Overnight stay in a local hotel (B/L/D)

Day 6Khovd - Ulaanbaatar

Flight to Ulaanbaatar, transfer to hotel. In the afternoon half-day city tour, shopping and traditional art cultural performance of the Tumen Ekh Ensemble. Afterward farewell dinner. Overnight stay in the hotel (B/L/D)

Day 7Departure

Check-out from hotel. Transfer to Chinggis Khaan International Airport/Departure (B)
